About Us
Orchid kids Club opened its doors for the first time in May 2017, it is run by Maria Arango, a mother of 2 students at St Paul’s RC Primary school. We also have the very capable Gloria and Yvonne, that assist in the daily running of the club. All together we provide a family orientated provision.
Our staff have significant experience in working with children and are devoted to delivering the best care possible.
All staff complete regular training in Safeguarding, Food Hygiene, Health and Safety and Paediatric First Aid. Each of us recognises the importance of continuous professional development so we regularly attend courses, workshops, and meeting to keep up to date.
Children have a calm start to the day, with the provision of quiet table games, puzzles, and books.
In our after school club we have planned activity each day, although we operate on a free play system, where children can decide what they want to play with. From the wide range of resources, we have available, including arts and crafts, Lego, role play, painting, board games & puzzles. There is also plenty of time for playing and socialising with friends. In addition, we have a quiet area where children can read books or just rest from the day.
